Bridgestone India, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, has rebuilt and revitalized the government school in Kuti village, near the National Automotive Test Tracks (NETRAX) in Madhya Pradesh. This transformation addresses a long-standing gap in educational infrastructure for a marginalized community comprising tribal groups and migrant families from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

The school primarily serves children of daily-wage labourers, vegetable vendors, and construction workers. Prior to the intervention, it was functioning under unsafe and dilapidated conditions with minimal infrastructure, no basic facilities, and severely inadequate space for its 175+ students. Despite these hardships, three dedicated teachers continued to keep education alive.

The rebuilt school is expected to significantly boost student enrolment and attendance, while enabling every child to learn in a safe and nurturing environment. This transformation not only brings dignity to the education process but also instils confidence and aspiration among children and parents alike.

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Bridgestone India, in collaboration with the district administration and the education department, stepped in to completely rebuild the school. The new facility includes structurally safe classrooms, child-friendly spaces, and access to essential amenities—creating an environment where learning can flourish and children can thrive.

This initiative stands as a testament to Bridgestone India’s mission to create long-term social impact through education, infrastructure, and community partnerships. By focusing on areas often overlooked, such as displaced and underserved populations, the company continues to enable meaningful and lasting change.
