Bridgestone Strengthens Commitment to India in Strategic Meeting with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister in Japan

The Honorable Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, recently visited Bridgestone Global Headquarters and met with senior leaders of Bridgestone Corporation (Bridgestone) during his visit to Japan. The meeting was hosted by Mr. Shuichi Ishibashi, Global CEO, and Mr. Nobuyuki Tamura, BRIDGESTONE EAST CEO, and focused on fostering economic collaboration and cultural exchange between Madhya Pradesh and Japan. Mr. Ishibashi and Mr. Tamura reflected on Bridgestone’s positive experiences operating in Madhya Pradesh, noting the region’s strategic advantages and supportive business environment.
As part of its long-term investment in India, Bridgestone India Private Ltd. (BSID) a group company of Bridgestone Corporation, recently announced a USD 85 million investment to enhance premium passenger car tire production and development, of which USD 17 million will be allocated for capability enhancement at the Indore plant located in Kheda Growth Center, Pithampur, , Madhya Pradesh. The company views the Indian market as a significant growth opportunity, driven by stable economic development and increasing automotive production and ownership. BSID aims to strengthen its market leadership by expanding its "Dan-Totsu"*1 product lineup featuring "ENLITEN" technology*2, targeting the growing demand for premium tires, including High Rim Diameter (HRD) tires*3. These initiatives were prominently showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global EXPO 2025, held in Delhi from January 17 to 22, highlighting Bridgestone’s advancements and its growing footprint in India.
Since its establishment in 1996, BSID has been committed to local production for local sales, contributing to the nation’s motorization and economic growth, and to support local communities in Madhya Predesh though various corporate activities. This latest investment aligns with Bridgestone’s strategy of "growth with quality," emphasizing high profitability and value creation while addressing customer and societal needs and showcasing its commitment to continuous contribution to local community including Madhya Pradesh.
