The new Lamborghini Temerario has debuted on Asphalt Legends Unite, the free-to-play racing game from Gameloft, available across multiple platforms worldwide. The challenge will consist of two open qualifiers across all Asphalt Legends Unite platforms:

• Qualifier #1: 26 September to 2 October
• Qualifier #2: 3 October to 9 October

At the end of each qualifier, the four fastest registered players will qualify for the finals to be held at the Jerez Circuit in November. All racers, regardless of their placement, will receive an exclusive Bridgestone decal for the Lamborghini Temerario.

Advanced Tire Performance and Service for the Paris 2024 Fleet

As the Official Tyre of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Bridgestone is helping keep the official Olympic and Paralympic fleet in motion. Bridgestone is providing a variety of its premium tyres for more than 1,000 of Toyota’s newly-provided vehicles.

This product offering includes the new Bridgestone Turanza 6 and the Bridgestone Alenza 001 tyres featuring the company’s advanced ENLITEN technology. ENLITEN is a combination of cutting-edge technologies and materials designed to optimize performance, durability, and/or sustainability characteristics.¹ Through ENLITEN, Bridgestone will continue to design premium tyres to fit the evolving performance needs of its customers and the future mobility ecosystem, particularly EVs.

Bridgestone is also providing its high-performing motorcycle tyres for more than 20 motorcycles used in support of Paris 2024 road course events. These provisions include tyre fitments for a prototype Kawasaki hydrogen motorcycle.

More than three dozen Bridgestone-owned Speedy and First Stop tyre and maintenance service centers will be on call during Gamestime to support all fleet tyres and passenger vehicles. These locations throughout the Paris 2024 venue footprint will provide tire checks and related automotive service for the nearly 3,000 cars operating at the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Speedy will also provide glass-related services, including windshield repair and replacement.

Road Safety Training for Paris 2024 Drivers

To promote road safety, Bridgestone created an e-learning education model as part of a training series for drivers. The training will be offered to the nearly 4,000 volunteer drivers before they get behind a wheel to pilot the Paris 2024 fleet. The module highlights the important role tires play in vehicle safety and performance. It also offers tyre care tips for checking tread and maintaining proper inflation.

Collaboration to Advance Accessible and More Sustainable Transportation

In addition to supporting the 100%-electrified Toyota passenger vehicle fleet, Bridgestone is providing tyre fitments designed to help maximize a number Toyota’s hydrogen-powered and inclusive mobility offerings. This collaborative support for emerging innovation vehicles includes tyres fitted for 500 Hydrogen-fueled Toyota Mirai Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle (FCEV) cars and two Hydrogen-fueled FCEV buses. It also includes tyres fitted for 250 Toyota zero tailpipe emission electric Accessible People Movers (APM) that will transport athletes, staff, and fans during the Games. The APMs are vehicles specifically designed for people with physical disabilities. They are fitted with Bridgestone Ecopia EP150 tyres designed to provide a comfortable riding experience and low rolling resistance efficiency that can help maximize fuel/energy consumption.

Bridgestone also will supply more than 600 bicycles for alternative options of non-motorized transportation. Bridgestone is partnering with Decathlon, an international sporting goods manufacturer based in France and Official Partner of Paris 2024, to make the bikes available across Paris 2024 venues and in the Olympic and Paralympic Village. The bicycles will be available to athletes, volunteers and staff for convenient and efficient transportation where car travel is not necessary. After Paris 2024 concludes, Bridgestone will partner with Ville de Paris to donate approximately 500 of the bikes locally to community organizations.

High-performance Sports Equipment for Olympic and Paralympic Athletes

A number of Olympic and Paralympic athletes competing at Paris 2024 will help demonstrate how Bridgestone innovation and premium performance extends beyond tyres.

Bridgestone Golf products and technology will be on display at the Paris 2024 men’s and women’s golf events. Numerous professional golfers who use Bridgestone golf balls have qualified for the Olympic Games Paris 2024. In support of these athletes, the company is providing approximately 3,500 high-performance golf balls for use on the tournament practice range.

Additionally, numerous adaptive athletes from the United States and Japan will use Bridgestone rubber and equipment during competition at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. Bridgestone engineers, designers and materials experts have leveraged their tyre and rubber experience to explore rubber applications for several sports. These innovation opportunities include the use of Bridgestone tyre rubber for gloves, wheelchair hand rims, prosthetic running blades, spike plates, wheelchair tyres, and more.

The Bridgestone Turanza 6 is designed to provide improved fuel efficiency or extended battery range (depending on vehicle type), delivering a reduction of 4% in rolling resistance versus its predecessor and offering best-in-class EU label A-grade in rolling resistance in selected sizes. The material technology in the product is designed to increase durability by 22% compared to its predecessor. This means the tyre needs to be changed less frequently and can help reduce the consumption of raw materials in the long-term. The Turanza 6 was also developed through Bridgestone’s new virtual tyre development technology that helps Bridgestone predict tyre performance in different conditions before physically building prototypes. In the development phase, this approach leads to a savings of 21% of raw materials and CO2 emissions, while cutting 60,000 kilometres and 7.7 tonnes of CO2 from outdoor testing.

The Bridgestone Alenza 001 tyre with ENLITEN features a tyre casing designed to reduce rolling resistance and help improve fuel/energy efficiency. Providing top performance in dry conditions and supported by a premium wet package, the Bridgestone Potenza Sport ENLITEN has been custom engineered to keep Maserati Grecale Folgore drivers in control with superior handling performance in challenging conditions on both dry and wet surfaces. 

The bespoke Bridgestone tyre delivers against the Maserati Grecale Folgore’s specific needs and enhances its performance thanks to the use of ENLITEN Technology, Bridgestone’s innovative approach to tyre development. This combination of multiple cutting-edge technologies provides maximum safety and outstanding tyre performance for Maserati Grecale Folgore drivers, while improving the sustainability characteristics of the tyre. 

Driving the electric revolution forward 

Alongside a successful, long-term partnership, Bridgestone and Maserati also share a strong commitment to electrification.  "ENLITEN®": Bridgestone’s new technology for premium tyre design in EV era
Bridgestone has developed new tyres for the 2023 BWSC featuring ENLITEN®, the company’s new base technology for product design. ENLITEN® elevates conventional tyres by enhancing environmental performance while also exceeding the customer and market demands in product performance. Through the advanced performance attributes of ENLITEN® technology, Bridgestone is focused on increasing social value and customer value.  

The ENLITEN®-equipped tyres supplied to the BWSC were designed to help teams meet the extreme demands during the 3000km event, including low rolling resistance, wear and weight. Bridgestone will customise tyres based on the needs 
from the teams to demonstrate the new ENLITEN technology and exceptional capabilities of the tyres. Bridgestone will further 
develop and deliver ENLITEN technology equipped tyres customised for customers through motorsport and conventional tyres.

BWSC tyre made using 63% recycled and renewable materials 
The tyres Bridgestone is supplying will include a tyre with recycled and renewable material ratio (MCN – Material Circularity Number) of 63%, which is an improvement compared to approximately 30 % in the 2019 BWSC event. The recycled and renewable materials used in the development of these tyres includes recycled organic fibre, recovered carbon black, recycled rubber chemical, recycled oil, and reinforcement material using recycled steel. Furthermore, tyres supplied to the cruiser class were additionally developed using rice husk silica and carbon black recovered through pyrolysis of used tyre.

Low carbon emission logistics in tyre shipping
For BWSC tyre shipment, Bridgestone chose to work with DHL, a leading logistics provider targeting zero emission by 2050. Through the use of DHL’s GoGreen Plus^*3 solution, the transport of tyres to the BWSC will be a 100% carbon neutral shipment through a combination of using sustainable marine fuel (insetting) and compensation of emissions via VER Gold Standard carbon credits (offsetting).

This sustainable approach enables a digital version of an in-development tyre to be created and tested virtually before building prototypes, leading to savings in raw materials and CO₂ emissions during development.

Three world records, all with the Bridgestone Battlax T32
All three world records have been achieved by different riders on different bikes, following different routes. The only thing that remained constant in three consecutive years of world touring records is the tyre – the Bridgestone Battlax T32.

Safety first
Setting a world record is a unique feat that requires exceptional preparation. Sarasyn is a professional rider; to tackle this challenge, he underwent specific training and followed a personalised nutrition plan to ensure he would be in optimal mental and physical condition while riding. He also took breaks every two hours to rest and refuel his vehicle.

During his venture, Sarasyn was followed by a support vehicle with personnel ready to intervene in an emergency, and his route was constantly monitored in real time through a satellite tracking system. This tracking system also certified that the speed limits in each of the 15 countries visited were not broken during the attempt. And of course, the Bridgestone Battlax T32 was instrumental in keeping Sarasyn safe, even in the poor weather conditions he encountered on his journey.

“With the experience I gained on my previous ride, I saw an opportunity to break my own record – with a ride through 15 countries, registered by an official tracking system, which respects traffic rules and includes enough rest along the way,” said Sarasyn. “I was excited to partner up with Bridgestone again this year. The T32 is a very versatile tyre with excellent wet performance; despite facing difficult weather conditions, I never had problems with grip on the wet roads.”

Designed to perform all year round, the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 was brought to life on the basis of comprehensive market research with thousands of European drivers on what they expect from an all-season touring tyre and the driving challenges they face. The full range will be available in Ireland this autumn.

The launch follows a strong market growth towards all-season tyres witnessed since the launch of the predecessor of the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 in 2018 – with the segment now representing 21% of the European market⁴. The award is made in recognition of Bridgestone’s sustainability achievements, with the Platinum status putting Bridgestone EMIA in the top 1% of over 100,000 companies from over 200 industries worldwide.

EcoVadis is one of the world’s largest and most trusted providers of business sustainability ratings. Sustainable performance enabled by cutting-edge tyre technologies

Safety isn’t the only performance area of the new Bridgestone Turanza 6. Bridgestone’s latest flagship tyre also delivers superior mileage, with a 22% improvement^[2] when compared to its predecessor, the Turanza T005, which remains a test-winning product. The Bridgestone Turanza 6 also provides improved fuel efficiency or extended battery range (depending on vehicle type), delivering a reduction of 4% in rolling resistance versus its predecessor^[2] and offering best-in-class EU label A-grade in rolling resistance in selected sizes^[4]. This is supported by the introduction of an aerodynamic rimguard, which is designed to reduce the resistance of air on the tyre while driving.

The Bridgestone Turanza 6 is the result of many pioneering technologies, with various ground-breaking innovations in tread pattern, compound and construction that amplify its performance capabilities. These include the cutting-edge and sustainable TECHSYN and ENLITEN - a set of technologies providing best-in-class tyre performance with a step change towards sustainability compared with previous generations, which are both featured for the first time ever on a Bridgestone replacement tyre.

As a sustainable solutions company, Bridgestone is constantly evolving its R&D process to become more efficient and sustainable. For example, the new Bridgestone Turanza 6 was developed using Bridgestone’s ground-breaking Virtual Tyre Development technology. This enables a digital version of an in-development tyre to be created and tested, helping Bridgestone to predict how a tyre will perform in different conditions before physically building prototypes. Engineered to be EV-ready

Thanks to the use of the latest technologies such as ENLITEN Technology, the new Bridgestone Turanza 6 is also perfectly suited to hybrid and electric vehicles, helping to optimise their performance. This includes low rolling resistance to save battery life and address range anxiety concerns, excellent control to address EV-specific driving-related issues, higher wear tolerance to combat tyre wear due to the increased weight and higher torque, and decreased noise for driver comfort owing to the near non-existent engine noise of EVs. The Bridgestone Turanza 6 delivers a reduction of 2db in pass-by noise versus its predecessor^[6].

Bridgestone, a global leader in tyres and sustainable mobility solutions, is launching Fleetcare Go Plan, a new premium tyre and vehicle maintenance solution for small and medium sized fleets operating trucks and buses as well as passenger cars and vans.

Fleetcare Go Plan is an integrated solution composed of premium Bridgestone tyres, efficient vehicle maintenance, and intelligent interface powered by Webfleet telematics. The Webfleet connectivity also gives fleet managers easy access to optional premium telematics functionalities. By using premium Bridgestone tyres, Fleetcare Go Plan users will also receive professional and efficient tyre maintenance by a network of Bridgestone Partners who ensure optimal tyre performance and drivers’ safety.  

Building on the successful launch of Fleetcare which targets larger fleets, this new end-to-end digital solution will help small and medium sized fleet managers maximize their efficiency by saving time, mastering the total cost of ownership, improving customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance and increased sustainability, safety and security. Different to the customizable Fleetcare, Fleetcare Go Plan is a standardized and ready-to-go solution.

Each Fleetcare Go Plan subscriber will have access to a personalised and dedicated Fleet Portal, allowing them to gain insights about fleet status, services delivered, invoices received and contract progress. This portal delivers perfect predictability, visibility, and insights, making this new solution ideal for multitasking fleet managers who wish to stay in control while optimising their work.  

This new solution also helps control costs through a subscription service with usage-based pricing and easy and predictable monthly payments. Through its easy onboarding and centralised billing, and end-to-end digital process, it allows precious timesaving.

Whatever the vehicle type, Fleetcare Go Plan ensures it is professionally maintained and running on Bridgestone’s premium and award-winning tyres to keep drivers comfortable and safe. Customers will also receive dedicated customer service to answer their queries quickly and effectively and keep them efficient.

For truck and bus fleets, Fleetcare Go Plan will provide real-time data via a personalised fleet portal, meaning accessible and convenient contract progress and mileage tracking, consolidated invoicing and service reports. This provides a clear view on total cost of ownership. The solution includes quarterly all-in tyre checks and maintenance to ensure optimal tyre life and road safety, with free tyre puncture repairs and optional mileage guarantee.

For passenger cars and commercial vans fleets, Fleetcare Go Plan also allows further savings, with recalculated bills every six months, even if it differs from the original quotation based on the actual mileage and maintenance of the vehicles.

Dublin (November 14, 2022) — Bridgestone, a global leader in tyres and sustainable mobility solutions, has announced the launch of its Bridgestone Duravis Van tyre in Ireland. This new premium summer tyre for Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) delivers maximum efficiency during daily operating conditions. From regional to last mile delivery, the Bridgestone Duravis Van minimises downtime and contributes to reducing total cost of ownership, making it the ideal tyre for professionals who want to optimise tyre management, while prioritising safety and reliability.

The EV-ready Bridgestone Duravis Van has been developed to meet customer demands and boost business efficiency. According to tests carried out by independent TÜV SÜD, the new Bridgestone Duravis Van tyre offers best-in-class mileage1 for extended tyre life as well as best-in-class dry and wet braking performances2. The Bridgestone Duravis Van also achieves the highest EU label rating for wet grip, helping to keep drivers safe on the road, even in challenging wet-weather conditions.

Compared to its predecessor, the Duravis R660, the Bridgestone Duravis Van delivers a 21% improvement in rolling resistance³, securing an EU label Grade B for rolling resistance in most sizes. This means greater fuel/energy efficiency³, which translates to enhanced fuel savings or extended battery range for businesses.

Prepared to perform thanks to cutting-edge technologies

The new Bridgestone Duravis Van is the result of many pioneering technologies including the innovative and sustainable ENLITEN Technology. This set of technologies provide best-in-class tyre performance^1,2, while delivering sustainability benefits thanks to the tyre’s best-in-class mileage¹ and increased fuel/energy efficiency³.

The Bridgestone Duravis Van presents various innovations including a new symmetric tread pattern, cavity crown optimisation, and new sipes design and void distribution – all benefitting from a new enhanced contact technology to amplify its performance capabilities. Innovative mixing also improves chemical reaction control, balancing the reinforcing mechanism and rolling resistance.

The new Bridgestone Duravis Van is perfectly suited to both Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and electric vehicles (EV), helping to optimise their performance. Specifically for EV drivers, the Bridgestone Duravis Van’s higher wear tolerance counters the increased weight and higher torque of EVs, while its low rolling resistance saves battery life. Compared to its predecessor, the Bridgestone Duravis Van tyre also delivers decreased noise for EV driver comfort owing to the near silence of EV engines — offering a reduction of 2db³ in pass-by noise, earning it an EU label A grade.

The Bridgestone Duravis Van was developed using Bridgestone’s ground-breaking Virtual Tyre Development technology. This means a digital version of an in-development tyre can be created and tested, helping Bridgestone to predict how a tyre will perform in different conditions before physically building prototypes. In the development phase, this sustainable approach led to a saving of 38% of raw materials and CO₂ emissions, while cutting 20,000 kilometres and 4.2 tonnes of CO₂ from outdoor testing.⁴
