Summary

Webfleet, Bridgestone’s advanced fleet management solution, today announced a partnership with Volkswagen Group Info Services AG. Through OEM.connect, Webfleet’s factory-fit connectivity programme, fleet operators can now connect vehicles from six Volkswagen Group brands directly to Webfleet. This enables fleets running Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Škoda, Seat, Cupra and Audi vehicles to access Webfleet services without installing aftermarket hardware.

Eligible vehicles with factory-fitted connectivity are activated using the vehicle identification number (VIN). From there, Webfleet services are available within minutes. This simplifies onboarding and provides fleet operators with fast, easy and secure access to vehicle data. These data insights help businesses improve operational efficiency, reduce operating costs and support safe and sustainable driving.

Jan-Maarten de Vries, President Fleet Management Solutions at Bridgestone, said: “We always aim to make connecting vehicles to Webfleet as quick and easy as possible. Adding six Volkswagen Group brands to OEM.connect serves that goal perfectly. Fleet operators get immediate access to valuable data that helps them optimise their operations.

This collaboration represents an important step in expanding our OEM.connect ecosystem, enabling fleets to adopt connected services faster and with less complexity.”

Lasse Schmidt van Hülst, Lead Sales & Key Account Management at Volkswagen Group Info Services AG, added: “Combining our vehicle data with Webfleet’s advanced fleet solutions supports the continued development of connected fleet services across Europe. By making vehicle data available through trusted partners, we are helping fleet operators improve performance, while ensuring secure and compliant data use.”

The solution also supports mixed fleets. Whether a business runs with models from a single brand or a combination from different manufacturers, everything is visible and manageable in one place: inside the Webfleet platform or through the Webfleet mobile app.

With OEM.connect, fleets using Volkswagen Group vehicles can benefit from a range of Webfleet features, including:

  • Monitoring fuel level to keep operating costs under control
  • Tracking EV battery levels to keep electric vehicles running smoothly
  • Improving fleet performance with deeper visibility and reporting
  • Reducing downtime through proactive vehicle‑health notifications

OEM.connect for Volkswagen Group vehicles is available for all Webfleet customers across Europe.
