New Firestone Vanhawk 2 Winter EVO Delivers Longer Mileage, Uncompromised Winter Performance and Fuel Efficiency
Firestone has today announced its latest winter van tyre, the new Firestone Vanhawk 2 Winter EVO. The EV-ready tyre delivers longer mileage, uncompromised mobility across the winter season and improved fuel/energy efficiency.1
The Firestone Vanhawk 2 Winter EVO applies ENLITEN Technology, Bridgestone’s next generation technology platform designed to deliver uncompromising performance with a focus on enhancing sustainability characteristics.
Replacing the Firestone Vanhawk 2 Winter, the new Firestone tyre is engineered to deliver durability to light van owners and drivers, with 10 per cent longer mileage than its predecessor.1 The tyre leverages an improved compound that provides optimised abrasion, alongside a crown design for wear energy uniformity inside the contact patch area to deliver longer mileage.
Certified with 3PMSF and M+S markings, the Firestone Vanhawk 2 Winter EVO also ensures reliable traction and braking in snow conditions. This combines with a 10 per cent improvement in wet braking over its predecessor1 and a best-in-class EU label A-grade in wet grip – improving the labelling grade versus the previous generation. For its enhanced winter performance, the Firestone Vanhawk 2 Winter EVO’s compound maximises grip on wet roads, while a combination of blocks in the tyre’s pattern design and sipe distribution grants advanced winter capabilities.
The new Firestone Vanhawk 2 Winter EVO also delivers a five per cent rolling resistance reduction compared to its predecessor for improved fuel/energy efficiency.1 The tyre’s optimised compound ensures low dissipation during tyre rolling to achieve this, while the tread design is also engineered to optimise dissipation and minimise energy loss.
The integration of ENLITEN technology also ensures that the Firestone Vanhawk 2 Winter EVO is fully EV-ready, enabling fleets to adopt one single tyre across internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicles.

Developed and tested in Italy, the new Firestone Vanhawk 2 Winter EVO with ENLITEN Technology will be available across all of Europe beginning in June 2025. The tyre will be available from 15” to 17” in an expanded range of 18 short sizes and 22 long sizes, covering 93% of the demand coverage in that segment. These sizes include five 10 Ply Rating sizes to meet increasing demand from van owners and fleets to offset higher-cargo loads, as well as EV-light truck specific requirements.
